You might be able to get a rebuild kit for $700 but I assure you it won't be a cummins grade head gasket, if you need wear sleeve seals the cost goes up. If you rebuild the engine, why not the IP, turbo, and injectors. Oh, look at that, it just snow balled on ya.

Whole swap cost me around $800 including the little stuff i changed while i was under there, belts, plugs, bosch water pump and fluids. If your mechanically inclined its a great learning experience and you can definitly cut those costs by more than half. Most of what they are charging will be labor.
